Anna Kowalski
Anna Kowalski has been on the Parent Board for the past 3 seasons. Anna handles primarily parent engagement, transportation, fundraising, and anything else that makes the Blades a success. Her daughter is currently skating on the Intermediate team.
Ali Ruiz
My name is Ali Ruiz, and I am excited to be part of the parent board this year. Our family — my husband, Bert, our two daughters, Finley and Ryan, and myself — is entering our fifth year with the Blades, and we are thrilled to kick off another exciting season.
My daughters, Finley and Ryan, both love synchronized skating. Finley cross-skates on the Preliminary and Pre-Juvenile teams, while Ryan skates on the Aspire 3 team. Most of all, they love being part of the Blades family.
When I am not at the ice rink, I work as a physician assistant in emergency medicine at Endeavor Health and also with an in-home concierge medical group, Conciurgent Care.
We are looking forward to a wonderful season ahead!

I’m Jen Powell, and I’m thrilled to be part of the board this season as your co-Treasurer. My husband, Nick, and I have three kids. Harper skates on Aspire 3, Hailey skates on Aspire 2, and our youngest, Connor, is usually in the stands cheering loudly for his big sisters. We are entering our 3rd season as a Glenview Blades family and looking forward to a great season!
During the day, I work as a Sr. Account Executive at Unum, partnering with corporations to provide their employee benefits. A fun fact about me: I skated on the Glenview Blades back in the 90s, so being involved in this program again feels like coming full circle. I’m excited to support our skaters and this amazing community.
